Knitting in progress

Here's some of my knitting in progress.

First, my February Lady's Sweater:

This is a class I'm taking at Webs - the teacher is Annie Foley, and she's converted this pattern from Flint Knits (and Elizabeth Zimmerman) into a sweater that's knit in the round. Since it's a cardigan, we've done a steek down the center, and the next (last) class is when we'll be securing and then cutting the steek. Very exciting, and very scary! That's why I wanted to take the class, I really wanted someone to hold my hand while I cut into a sweater that I've spent so much time knitting on.

Next, this is a scarf I'm working on for myself:

This is the Fruit of the Vines pattern by Anne Hanson. I met Anne at the Knitters Review Retreat. This was my first Retreat, and I will definitely be going back, that's for sure. What I wonderful time I had!!

This is my New Beginnings project - each year, the Retreat attendees start a new project just for themselves on the last day of the Retreat. You walk around and have all the different people you've met over the weekend put some stitches into your project.
I hope to finish this scarf so I can wear it at next year's Knitters Review Retreat, though there is lots of other things going on, so I do hope I can finish it.
I'm also working on some other things, that have been on my needles for a very long time. The Summer Chill Shawl is one project that just need me to finish knitting the border. And I"m still working on my Wyvern Sweater .
I also got a lot of great yarn from the KRR stash lounge. That is where you bring in your yarn, books, needles, etc, that you've realized that you are never going to use, and you leave it for others to take home. The rules are you have to bring something to take something, but there is SO much stuff in the lounge!
I found 6 skein of DK weight 100% cashmere (I looked up the yarn online, and it's usually $30/skein). I want to make at least one shawl out of this yarn, it's a beautiful blue/purple, and it's SO soft!
Well, that's all for now - I hope to be posting more as I think of other things to talk about!

Hi all!

Thought it was about time to start with this "blog" thing, and it will give me a chance to talk to friends and family all at once.

In the future, look for info on what I'm doing, and what i'm knitting on.
