I had a fun day today.

It was Webs yarn store Tent Sale and 30th Anniversary Sale, so my friend J and I went together. She drove, as she gets car sick (she can't knit or read, but she can just sit). She doesn't mind driving, and I like to knit instead. so she drove and I knit.

Webs is about an hour from my house, so I got some good knitting in on my Mondo Cable Cardi. I've made some changes to the original pattern, decided to knit it in the round, and cut up a steek to make it a Cardi, and also I put a cable down the center back for more visual interest. I'd say I'm around 30% done with the sweater, and I like how it's coming along. SO glad I'm knitting it in the round, that just goes so much faster for me!

J and I had a lot of fun at the sale, but wow, there were a lot of people. I didn't think it was that bad when I was walking around outside in the tent, but then I went inside, and there were at least 3 times more people! I stood in line for the ladies room, then did a bit of shopping - prices were reduced in the warehouse for the sale too, so I did most of my shopping there! An additional 30% off what were already 50% reduced.

But I was good, and only got yarn for one small project - the Celtic Tote, which I want to cast on for once i'm closer to done on my Mondo Cable Cardi sweater.

Trying to get a lot of knitting done before the upcoming The Knitting Guild Association convention in Manchester, NH in early July. I've already registered, and am looking forward to the classes I'll be taking. I may also have a chance to get together with my SIL, she's also knitting now, and may come down for a day for the show.

Here's a picture of my new kitten, Milo:

Well, I think that's all for now. Got to get back to my knitting!
